A debate about AIDS and "House of Numbers" via Sherdog.com

JOIN THIS THEARD,

some great chat going on now from www.sherdog.com
(The global Authority in Mixed martial Arts site)

This thread is inspired by an EXCELLENT documentary from a couple years back called "House of Numbers". In it, the filmmakers basically set out to discover the origin of AIDS, it's relationship to HIV, the conditions which cause it, and the conditions which define it. What they ended up with was a very interesting story indeed.
It seems that the official meme that "HIV = AIDS = Death" has many problems, not the least of which are;
a) AIDS itself is not a disease or virus but is diagnosed through what amounts to a checklist of various symptoms which are easily attributed to other known diseases like TB, and also could be caused by malnutrition.
b) The causal link between HIV and AIDS has never truly been scientifically established, and in fact, the existence of the HIV virus itself is in question, when it's only been isolated and photographed twice, and both studies were inconclusive.
c) The HIV test does not seek to identify the virus itself, but only a certain type of antibody. This type of testing is not uncommon in the medical world, as it's easier and cheaper to identify the antibodies, but it's use is only valid if the virus itself has been fully understood and isolated. It it also problematic in the area of false-positives, for example; pregnant women produce these antibodies naturally (I wonder how many of the African women diagnosed were pregnant?)
d)The statistics of the world-wide AIDS and HIV numbers have been manipulated, obfuscated and confused (hence the film title) to such an extant that they do not accurately portray the reality of the situation.
e) The AZT treatments are highly toxic, severely inhibit DNA replication in the body, and in the end kill more people than the ailment they are supposed to combat.

There are many more important points but in the interest of brevity I would suggest you ask specific questions or watch the film, read the articles, etc.

I don't know what the original agenda was behind the film's creation, but to me it seems they gave everyone a fair shot at telling their side of the story. This includes Nobel Laureates, journalists, those living with the "syndrome" (AIDS) and the virus (HIV), scientists who are pro the official meme and dissenters of the official meme, but in the end this "House of Numbers" appears to crumble before our eyes.

The World Health Organization confesses that 25 years of international Aids projections and programs were based on fear, not evidence. But they still want you to believe them.

It is official: Aids is not explicable by sexual transmission. There is no heterosexual Aids pandemic, and further, there will be no heterosexual Aids pandemic.
“Threat of world Aids pandemic among heterosexuals is over, report admits”, The Independent announced on Sunday, June 8, 2008, mimicking what I have been reporting for years (and what some of my colleagues have been reporting for decades).
No, really. But take it from someone you trust, Dr. Kevin de Cock of the World Health Organization: “[T]here will be no generalised epidemic of Aids in the heterosexual population outside Africa.”
“A 25-year health campaign was misplaced outside the continent of Africa,” the article concedes, daring you hang them all. And so they’re quick to add a massive fiction: “But the disease still kills more than all wars and conflicts”

“On the Front Lines of the AIDS Pandemic” by Harry Haverkos

by David Crowe

Harry Haverkos is an enigma for HIV and AIDS rethinkers. A product of the US medical establishment he pursued the theory that one of the two major AIDS indicator disease known as Kaposi’s Sarcoma [KS] (the other was Pneumocystis carinii Pneumonia, or PCP) was caused by the practice of many gay men to inhale amyl nitrite ‘Poppers’. Yet, even so, Haverkos always gave allegiance to the infectious HIV=AIDS=Death dogma. His new book, “On the Front Lines of the AIDS Pandemic” describes just how deeply he was embedded within the AIDS establishment even before the AIDS era officially began, in the years 1980 to 1984, while at the CDC (US Centers for Disease Control).

High school students, staff tested for HIV, FEAR

Am i the only that finds that article funny (beside full of FEAR)?
it's a VIRUS, HIV is very fragile and does not survive outside the human body

WINNIPEG — BY THE CANADIAN PRESS Dozens of students and staff at a First Nations high school are being tested for HIV and hepatitis after undergoing a faulty diabetes screening.
A University of Manitoba professor talked to students at Southeast Collegiate on May 4 about diabetes and used a glucometer to test blood-sugar levels on about 80 people.
A university spokesman said the professor changed the needle used on each person, but failed to realize that the part that holds the needle is not supposed to be used on more than one person.
“The lancet, the needle-like poker which punctures the skin, was in fact changed after every use, and the skin was cleaned with alcohol,” John Danakas said Thursday.

HA NOI — As the new school year begins, some 40 youngsters with HIV at the Centre for Social Education and Labour No 2 in Ba Vi, on the outskirts of Ha Noi, still long for the day when they can join mainstream education.
Quach Thi Mai, principal of Yen Bai B Primary School, said a lack of understanding about the disease had led to a great deal of prejudice and a reluctance among parents to let their children study alongside those with HIV.
Mai said five children from the centre were allowed to attend 1st grade at her school four years ago but that they were forced to leave after a few days because of protests by parents of other schoolchildren.

AIDS: The Greatest Deadly Lie in the History of Medicine

Mankind is facing a new threat of swine flu. A few years earlier, bird flu and SARS caused panic all over the world. AIDS has been on the top of the list of “scary” diseases for thirty years.

Where are millions of victims of SARS and bird flu? Where is deserted Africa allegedly doomed for total extinction from AIDS? Gor Shirdel, M.D. of Irish descent who is currently practicing in Kiev, has cured two patients from AIDS.
“I don’t believe that AIDS is incurable. Weak immune system is an issue that has been around for at least 200 years. It can be solved. Viruses found in the blood of those with AIDS is not the cause of the disease, it’s a consequence of immunodeficiency.
"The world thinks AIDS is incurable because two doctors, an American Robert Gallo and a Frenchman Luke Montanye, managed to convince the world in the early 1980s that AIDS is caused by "human immune deficiency virus" (HIV). Montanye even received a Nobel Prize for his “discovery.” Yet, they cannot find this virus in the human body. AIDS patients are diagnosed through the tests that register antibodies in blood, not HIV.

HIV Reservoirs Knowledge Strengthens the Hope for an HIV Cure

In their paper published this month (The Search for a Cure for Persistent HIV Reservoirs. AIDS Rev. 2011; 13: 63-6), Doctors Alain Lafeuillade (France) and Mario Stevenson (USA) first recap progress recently achieved in understanding the mechanisms of HIV persistence. Then, they define two main questions to be urgently addressed: the exact nature of the non-lymphocytic HIV reservoirs, and the threshold below which new strategies will have to drive the HIV reservoir to contain it. Finally, they draw what should be the priorities in terms of clinical trials for a cure and call for a higher commitment from funding organizations to win this race

Why HIV Treatment Needs 10 Times Its Current Funding

I think Ms. Townsend needs to receive a few emails. Don't you? info@kathleenkennedytownsend.com

KATHLEEN KENNEDY TOWNSEND - From 1995 to 2003, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend served as Maryland's first woman lieutenant governor. She now works in finance in Washington
she writes:

On Friday I chaired a lively meeting of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, founded by leading AIDS researcher Dr. Robert C. Gallo. The week before, Bob had announced that we had received $23 million in new funding for an HIV/AIDS vaccine. The funds came from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the U.S. Army, and others, including the National Institutes of Health.
I thought about how much had changed since Bob had co-discovered the AIDS virus in 1984 and since 1996, when then-Governor Parris Glendening and I recruited him and his team to Maryland. While researchers are still struggling to develop a preventive vaccine, the treatment of HIV/AIDS has drastically changed. For most of the developed world, HIV/AIDS has been transformed from a death sentence to a chronic disease.

Starting HIV Drugs Earlier May Delay AIDS But Not Death

By Randy Dotinga
HealthDay Reporter

New research suggests that HIV-infected patients are most likely to stay clear of AIDS longer if they start drug therapy when their immune systems are still relatively strong.
However, starting treatment earlier, compared to waiting, didn't affect dying from AIDS.
"There wasn't a clear benefit in terms of preventing death" by prescribing the drugs before some guidelines suggest, said Dr. Keith Henry, director of HIV clinical research at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and co-author of a commentary accompanying the study, published in the April 19 edition of Annals of Internal Medicine.

Unloved HIV/AIDS tests halted in China

Source: Global Times

  • [00:28 April 21 2011]     By Zheng Yi
China has abolished three controversial regulations that required overseas Chinese citizens not only take an HIV test but also that its results be broadcast to all relevant health authorities.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on Tuesday published new regulations without either of the offensive HIV/AIDS clauses, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
The move follows a regulation permitting foreigners infected with HIV to visit China that was approved in last April, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
The regulations had been lambasted online for intervening in the basic civil rights of Chinese citizens, said a consultant to government policymakers on issues including HIV/AIDS prevention since 1990.

A message from your immune system, to take AIDS drugs

If you’re a gay man (this ad was published in a gay weekly) you are encouraged to take AIDS drugs if your T cell count is under 500. Or, what the heck, even above 500. The side effects, this ad by the manufacturer of Truvada assures us, are now “more manageable”. You know, liver failure, liver transplant. Kidney failure, kidney transplant. Why worry, be happy, take your pills every day. As far as we know this ad has not appeared in any magazines for straight, white folks.

Highly Contagious AIDS-Like Disease Spreading in China

By Chen Yilian

Epoch Times Staff
A poster to promote AIDS awareness ahead of World AIDS Day in Beijing. A highly contagious AIDS-like disease is spreading in China, However, HIV tests come up negative.

In a small hotel across from the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention,
a reporter from New Express Daily, dressed in an isolation suit, interviewed a dozen
“unusual” patients from different areas of China. Their symptoms are painful and
debilitating, and AIDS-like, but repeated tests for HIV have come up negative.

Lin Jun, one of the patients interviewed in the March 24 New Express Daily report,
said he used to be chubby, but now he is skin and bones, and his joints have become
all deformed.

No HIV epidemic in Italy

Posted by Henry Bauer on 2011/04/03

Italy has never experienced an epidemic of AIDS
Nor has Italy ever experienced an epidemic of “HIV”
Those facts are reflected in documents issued by the Italian Ministry of Health. By 2009, the Ministry had not required notification of cases of “HIV” — “HIV” was not regarded as a threat to public heath — and AIDS could be diagnosed in absence of “HIV”. Thus the Ministry did not accept HIV/AIDS theory, and this was described appropriately as “Aids denialism at the Ministry of Health” by Ruggiero et al. in Medical Hypotheses, accepted 3 June 2009 and published on-line shortly afterwards.
Elsevier, however, publisher of Medical Hypotheses, under harassment by John P Moore and other HIV/AIDS vigilantes, could no more countenance this remaining in its journal than it could allow Duesberg to point out that HIV/AIDS true-believers were claiming 20 times as many AIDS deaths as the official South African agency, Statistics South Africa, was actually reporting on the basis of death certifications. Accordingly, the article by Ruggiero et al., like that of Duesberg et al., was withdrawn as “potentially damaging to global public health”:
That the Italian Ministry of Health does not regard something as a threat to public health was evidently seen at Elsevier as a potential threat to global public health.

Caller Telling Residents They're Infected with HIV

For the fourth time in six months someone is allegedly calling patients and providing false information about their health status.

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Health Freedom Expo, Long Beach Screening "House of Numbers" the Documentary.

MOVIE NIGHT

Lecture Title: House of Numbers
Time and Date: 7:00 PM Friday, March 25, 2011
Room: 301
Lecture Description: In House of Numbers: Anatomy of an Epidemic, an AIDS film like no other, the HIV/AIDS story is being rewritten. This is the first film to present the uncensored points of views of virtually all the major players; in their own settings, in their own words. It rocks the foundation upon which all conventional wisdom regarding HIV/AIDS is based. House of Numbers could well be the opening volley in a battle to bring sanity and clarity to an epidemic gone awry.

Moderated by Robert Scott Bell, with Liam Scheff, Clark Baker and Christopher Barr.

Speaker Biography: Canadian-born director Brent Leung attended Kwantlen University in British Columbia, majoring in psychology. In 1999 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend The Watkins Film School. After three years of cinema study, Brent decided to devote his full attention to investigating the HIV/AIDS phenomenon, which had troubled him since his high school days. The result is his first feature, the documentary, House of Numbers.

THE AIDS PANDEMIC the collision of epidemiology with political correctness, Dr. James Chin

James Chin, Clinical Professor of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley, Formerly, Chief of the Surveillance, Forecasting, and Impact Assessment (SFI) unit of the Global Programme on AIDS (GPA), of the World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva, Switzerland
Foreword by Jeffrey Koplan, Vice President, Academic Health Affairs, Emory University, Atlanta, Formerly Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Description This groundbreaking new book blows apart the myths about who is at risk of getting AIDS and shows how these myths are driven by moral and political pressures. It provides an objective, logical, clear, epidemiologically based analysis on the current situation and situates itself firmly at marked variance with the politically correct position of UNAIDS and most AIDS activists

The AIDS Pandemic argues that the story of HIV has been distorted by UNAIDS and AIDS activists in order to support the myth of the high potential risk of HIV epidemics spreading into the general population.

In the past, most policy makers and members of the public have uncritically accepted UNAIDS’ high prevalence estimates and projections when in fact lower HIV prevalence estimates are more accurate. Time, money and resources are being wasted worldwide.

This book is full of fresh analysis for all people working in any capacity in HIV/AIDS programmes. It will be invaluable to undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare students, health and social care professionals and the international media. Policy makers and shapers will find the pioneering information crucial to the future of the AIDS strategy.

‘For close to a half century, my work as a public health epidemiologist has involved field research, program management, and teaching, mostly on public health surveillance and prevention and control of communicable diseases. [Since 1981] I have been involved virtually full time with the international response to the AIDS pandemic which is without question one of the most severe infectious disease pandemics in modern times. During my public health career that began in the early 1960s, I have always been considered a part of conventional or mainstream medical science. However, since the mid-1990s, I have found myself swimming upstream against mainstream AIDS organisations. I have, during this period, gradually come to the realisation that AIDS programs developed by international agencies and faith based organizations have been and continue to be more socially, politically, and moralistically correct than epidemiologically accurate.’ James Chin, in the Preface
‘Controversy and differing opinions have been hallmarks of the AIDS epidemic since its onset. The scope of the problem, how to identify high risk groups without increasing the burden of stigma, the safety of blood products, the best balance between prevention and treatment, have all been hot issues sometimes dividing the public health community. The passion and conflicts about how to consider and address the AIDS pandemic reflect the huge impact this disease has had globally and its interplay with macro economic, legal, social, political, national security and ethical domains. Vital, provocative, thoughtful, direct, passionate, rational and willing to challenge conventional wisdom. The AIDS Pandemic is filled with information, rational arguments and opinions, often intermingled. It is a rare book on epidemiology that puts so much of the author's personality and viewpoints, along with his knowledge and experience, before the reader. The result is a thought-provoking, likely-to-be-controversial, contribution to the AIDS literature that should engage and stimulate the reader.’

Review Quotes
'Is it "politically and socially more acceptable" to say HIV risk behaviors are present in all populations to avoid further stigmatizing those groups with high risk behaviors? Do inflated HIV rates foster more AIDS funding? Chin addresses these and other thought-provoking questions and issues in a personal, professional, and rational manner. This book should prove valuable for all health care students, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.' http://www.radcliffe-oxford.com/books/bookdetail.aspx?ISBN=1846191181
