POSITIVE HELL: THE STORY OF FIVE INDIVIDUALS’ DEFIANCE OF THE AIDS DOGMA

A film by Andi Reiss and Joan Shenton

Positive Hell is the story of five individuals who have defied their doctors and lived on for nearly thirty years with a diagnosis of death. The film highlights a network of people diagnosed HIV Positive in the province of Galicia in Northern Spain.

Some of them, like physician Dr Manuel Garrido, have never taken any antiviral drugs. He’s been swimming against the tide of medical orthodoxy for three decades.
Raquel has had two children who are fit and well and are HIV negative and her husband, Pablo is also HIV negative.
Others like Manoel took antivirals for a while and found they made him feel so ill he stopped taking them. How can this be? Haven’t we been told that everybody who tests positive is sure to die? Dothese people have a special magic gene that protects them against HIV? Or could it be that this death sentence has been mistaken all along?
The five protagonists describe their struggle to survive when faced with a death sentence, their experiences as social pariahs, their battles with doctors and the medical orthodoxy and their absolute conviction that the science behind AIDS is cruelly wrong.

"HOUSE OF NUMBERS" FIGHTING TO GET organic CHEMISIST YOUTUBE ACCOUNT SHUT DOWN — AND THEY MIGHT WIN

"So the copyright system on YouTube still has a few kinks to be worked out …

Myles Power, a scientist working in the vein of making YouTube videos, is in danger of losing his account over “copyright infringement.” Powers used footage from a controversial documentary “House of Numbers,” a film that allegedly makes assertions that the AIDS crisis is manufactured by big pharma to sell worthless medication. And now someone from that documentary is “gaming the system” to punish Power."

Another one side article at: TeachDirt.com

A  bit about Myles Power:

Hello and welcome to mylespower.co.uk. For those of you who are just tuning in, my name is Myles Power (aka powerm1985) from YouTube. My time here on the internet has been spent sharing my love of SCIENCE! through home experiments, visiting sites of scientific interest and angry rants at pseudoscience opponents.

I am originally from a small town in the North East of England called Middlesbrough. I studied chemistry specialising in organic chemistry at the University of Manchester and Toronto. I later moved more towards bio-chemistry and began synthesising various nucleic acid analogues for non-enzymatic transcription and the controlling of gene expression using a mutant riboswitch.  I have over 6 years of experience working in a research lab and am currently working in industry.

Free Documentary Screenings on HIV Criminalization on March 7th!

Over 30 thirty states have prosecuted people living with HIV/AIDS for “exposing” others to the virus, typically through consensual and often protected sex, or in cases of fights involving biting or spitting. Yet in a majority of these cases, there was no real threat or risk of HIV transmission. Nevertheless, due to the fear and stigma still surrounding HIV/AIDS, people living with HIV/AIDS can still be tried and convicted as a felon regardless if the virus is actually transmitted and in 33 states, be forced to register as a sex offender.
Clearly, this is bogus.

If you have been charged with an HIV-related crime or civil action – or you represent someone in such action, CONTACT OMSJ IMMEDIATELY.

To help spur the repeal of HIV criminalization laws, Housing Works is proud to announce that Broadway Cares is presenting the screening of two documentaries that illustrate the harm and false logic behind HIV crim laws.

On Thursday, March 7 at 7pm at the SVA Beatrice Theatre, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS are showing two documentaries: Positive Women: Exposing Injustice, a documentary produced by Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network that details the lives of four HIV-positive women living with HIV/AIDS, and HIV is Not a Crime, a short produced by the Sero Project.

TOP Documentary Stream: "House Of Numbers – Anatomy Of An Epidemic"

"HOUSE OF NUMBERS - Watch Anatomy Of An Epidemic"
 Free Online here:

The documentary titled “House of Numbers: Anatomy of an epidemic” follows the expedition of a Canadian filmmaker, Brent Leung down into the slums of South Africa, where he studies the prevalence of AIDS and HIV disease. It tackles many question such as, what is AIDS. What is HIV? Although, a cure may not be in close sight, but is there anything that is being done to slow down the progress of the disease or even get aid to the people in this impoverished region. The disease began flooding the front page of newspapers during the early 80’s and the number of people, who were afflicted with this disease, began escalating by two-folds every second.
Ever since then, AIDS and HIV may have been the talk of the town, but the disease is not understood by the people and there are several ridiculous taboos that shroud the issue. Leung further observes that the health policy in South Africa may have gone off-course and a body that was formed to study and research the disease fails to perform its function now. Millions of dollars were given to the South African authorities every year by the UNAIDS. Bureaucracy and corruption may have caused this epidemic to go out of hand a bit, but the documentary aims to educate the entire world about the scourge of AIDS in South Africa.
The documentary features interviews from some of the most influential people, who play a pivotal role in their respective fields. From political figures to scientists, government officials, activists, survivors and the sufferers; the documentary encompasses the point of views of all. Leung has used a very objective tone and approach in making the issues known that the audiences will find most engaging. He has unraveled the conflicting opinions of people and the measures that are being taken to bring the epidemic under control and enable the people to restore their health and lives back to normal.

"The Other Side of AIDS" - an HIV and AIDS documentary Films

Take an unflinching look into an issue the mainstream media doesn’t dare touch: the failure of the multi billion-dollar war on AIDS. The Other Side of AIDS gives voice to a growing movement of doctors, scientists, journalists, and HIV positives who reveal a tangled web of conflicts of interest, political correctness and unresolved errors surrounding AIDS.
After 30 years and more than $150 billion in federally funded research, scientists still can’t explain how HIV causes AIDS. Millions of people have been declared HIV-positive with tests that can’t find the actual virus. The latest AIDS medications are taking more lives than AIDS itself. One expert proposes that the cause and cure for AIDS is as near at hand as our willingness to examine new ideas. Yet according to a prominent AIDS researcher, anyone questioning HIV is a perpetrator of death and should be jailed. Should AIDS advocates have the power to silence scientific debate? Has saving face become more important than saving lives? Watch The Other Side of AIDS and decide for yourself.

"Positively False" – HIV and AIDS Documentary - London Screening and Q & A

Positively False – Birth of a Heresy. Joan Shenton reaches back to 1987 through her extensive archive of broadcast and non-broadcast video material on HIV and AIDS combining it with current footage.
In this documentary dissident scientists, journalists and activists are voicing their concerns about the way the infectious hypothesis for AIDS took over from the toxic one and highlights the impact the dogma surrounding a viral cause for AIDS has had on people’s lives. The film travels through Africa, Europe and the United States revealing the way plague terror, financial objectives and scientific skullduggery have led to tragic examples of toxicity and death from antiviral drugs, social stigma, broken families, fear of sex, homophobia and imprisonment. Positively False – Birth of a Heresy is produced by Meditel Productions Ltd andThe Immunity Resource Foundation in association with Yellow Productions.

ESPN to Show Film About Magic Johnson’s H.I.V. Disclosure

When Magic Johnson (read a love letter to Magic Johnson) revealed on Nov. 7, 1991, that he had contracted H.I.V., the stunning announcement rippled across the National Basketball Association and professional sports, and changed the way that H.I.V./AIDS was discussed. Now, more than 20 years later, ESPN and the N.B.A. are preparing a documentary about Mr. Johnson’s decision to go public with his diagnosis, from a director who says that he doesn’t want to see H.I.V./AIDS disappear from the national conversation.

Dr. Nancy Padian 10-year study on HIV transmission
You want to know how Magic Johnson knows today? ask Bill Plaschke LA Times reporter
"It's exercise and faith and three pills twice a day. "

I beg him to give me the name of the three pills. He says everyone asks, but his doctors have sworn him to silence for the sake of those who might try to use those three pills to self-medicate.
What the REAL reason he won't answer this question?

On Friday ESPN Films and NBA Entertainment are expected to announce that they will present the documentary, called “The Announcement,” on ESPN starting on March 11. It is directed by the filmmaker and writer Nelson George. (Mr. George has been a contributor to The New York Times.)

Is this true? A new film to Celebrate:
How to kill yourself by forcing the government to give you AIDS drugs faster

Faced with their own mortality, an improbable group of mostly HIV-positive young men and women broke the mold as radical warriors taking on Washington and the medical establishment. How to Survive a Plague is the story of two coalitions—ACT UP and TAG (Treatment Action Group)—whose activism and innovation turned AIDS from a death sentence into a manageable condition. Despite having no scientific training, these self-made activists infiltrated the pharmaceutical industry and helped identify promising new drugs, moving them from experimental trials to patients in record time. With unfettered access to a treasure trove of never-before-seen archival footage from the 1980s and '90s, filmmaker David France puts the viewer smack in the middle of the controversial actions, the heated meetings, the heartbreaking failures, and the exultant breakthroughs of heroes in the making.

"House of Numbers" is a balanced, fair look at the HIV/AIDS epidemic

from the blog:

Writing a Better Story: Boundless Ministries

Have I ever mentioned that I really, really like to watch documentaries? That's more of a rhetorical question at this point if you've read this blog very long!

Taking into consideration my avid interest in the documentary art form, it's no wonder that next to blogger.com, facebook and checking my e-mail,TopDocumentaries.com is my favorite website. Yes, it even surpasses Netflix.
What I like best is getting the "other" side. These are movies that for the most part are not funded by big money, old money or those who hold the seats of power. Of course, the filmmakers set out to prove their point...so they aren't completely unbiased, but having a background in broadcast journalism myself...I believe this is the type of reporting network newsshould be doing...but can't...mostly, because they are owned by big money themselves. [Disembarking from soapbox!]

Back to the film at hand...House of Numbers is a balanced, fair look at the HIV/AIDS epidemic. And I have to be honest, I've read the huge (650+ pages) book And the Band Played On; I remember following this story with great interest as it broke in the 1980's; I lived in the state where Ryan White lived...we were inundated with information from the news media; but I've never heard the information like this.

Talk Nerdy to Me: Hug Me! I'm Vaccinated

who paid Cara to write this article?
BIG PHAMA?

watch this Cara:
The H1N1 Flu Pandemic, A New Documentary

Cara Santa Maria
Science Correspondent, The Huffington Post; Editor, Talk Nerdy to Me
Yesterday I got a flu vaccine at work. The coughs and sneezes are beginning to sound like bad muzak around the office, so I figured it was time to give flu season the finger. I've actually never had a flu vaccine before. It just never occurred to me to do so. But now that I work in a corporate office environment, the handwashing signs over the bathroom sink and little pumps of antibacterial hand sanitizer glistening on individual desks are beginning to make sense to me. I don't want these people making me sick. I don't want to make them sick either. I like my coworkers a lot, but I wish we lived in a country that understood the value of a sturdy facemask. I live in Hollywood, a city so image-obsessed that the only time you see somebody wearing one of those is if they've just gotten their nose done.
But I digress. I noticed when I proudly bore the sticker proclaiming to the office masses today that I got my vaccination, a lot of people responded that they "don't do that" or they "don't believe in it." That struck me as funny. It made me wonder why, if a free flu vaccination is offered to you only steps from your desk, you would opt not to partake.
Of the 3,000 respondents in last month's Thompson Reuters-NPR health poll, about one-fourth voiced concerns about the value and safety of vaccines. There are all sorts of myths surrounding general vaccination, and a resurgence of fear-mongering came about following the H1N1 scare of 2009. In future discussions, we can address the long-debunked "vaccines cause autism" scam, propelled by the morally bankrupt Dr. Andrew Wakefield and popularized by the vacuously gullible (I'm being nicer in print than in my own head here) Jenny McCarthy, which caused irreparable damage to public health and set backmeasles rates to those from the previous decade. We can also get into the other anti-vaccination quackery that lights up my bullshit detector, like "cold weather causes the flu," "influenza is not a serious disease," and "antibiotics can treat the flu if I get it." But I don't want this blog post to take your entire lunchbreak to read. Instead I want to talk about the common response that I hear from well read, intelligent, trustworthy people who opt not to get vaccinated.

Leung manages to present a barrage of intriguing theories debunking our generally accepted beliefs… There’s no denying, however, the value of exploring such game-changing topics as how HIV-infection numbers are cooked for monetary and political gain;
How the effects of global poverty may have led to so many AIDS-related deaths; how such widely used AIDS drugs as AZT have, themselves, often proved fatal; and whether HIV really exists.

Prof. Luc Montagnier's Extended House of Numbers Interview with Director Brent Leung - NaturalNews.tv

Watch the interview:
Natural News TV

Luc Montagnier (C.Restif@unesco.org) is a French virologist and joint recipient with Françoise Barré-Sinoussi of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the HIV. In 1982, Montagnier headed a team at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, (which included Francoise Barré-Sinoussi ), that was asked for assistance in establishing the possible viral cause of a mysterious new syndrome, AIDS. Willy Rozenbaum, a clinician at the Bichat Hospital in the French capital, had been openly suggesting that the disease could be caused by a retrovirus. In January 1983, he sent a lymph node biopsy from one of his patients to Montagnier's team at the Pasteur Institute.
