As blood donations decline, U.S. ban on gay donors is examined

The American Red Cross says power outages created by recent storms in the East and Midwest cut blood donations, which were already low this summer. In June there was a nationwide shortfall, with donations down more than 10% across the country.

"We are asking people to please call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit us at redcrossblood.org to find a way to donate if they can," said Stephanie Millian, Red Cross director of biomedical communications. "We need people's help."

One group that would like to help, but legally can't, may be moving one step closer to eligibility. Since the 1980s, when the AIDS epidemic decimated their community, gay men -- or MSMs (men who have sex with men) as they are called by federal agencies -- have not been allowed to donate blood. In June, a group of 64 U.S. legislators led by Rep. Mike Quigley, D-Illinois, and Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services encouraging it to move forward with a study that may lead to the end of the decades-old ban.

"We remain concerned that a blanket deferral of MSM for any length of time both perpetuates the unwarranted discrimination against the bisexual and gay community and prevents healthy men from donating blood without a definitive finding of added benefit to the safety of the blood supply," the letter said.

Judge rules prosecution must show that HIV is dangerous

Syracuse, NY - A Syracuse man accused of infecting a consensual sexual partner with HIV cannot be prosecuted on a felony reckless endangerment charge, a local judge ruled today.

In a 12-page decision, state Supreme Court Justice John Brunetti said the prosecution did not have sufficient evidence that Terrance Williams' conduct created a grave and unjustifiable risk of death to his sexual partner.

To pursue such a prosecution, the District Attorney's Office would need to present expert testimony as to the prognosis for a person who contracted HIV now, Brunetti concluded.

When an AIDS doctor declares that a patient with a CD4 count is “severely immunesuppressed”

he is making a prediction based on the CD4 count with near certainty. When

a doctor proclaims that an HIV positive person’s CD4 count of 200 or 350 or 500 shows

that it is “time to start drugs” they are also making a prediction on the basis of a CD4

count, a prediction with implied certainty. Perhaps, if pressed, the doctor might admit that

there are some people with low CD4 counts who are not sick, but the basic message is

that CD4 counts have been shown, scientifically, to be highly accurate indicators of your

stage of “progression to AIDS” – from asymptomatic to pre-AIDS (“AIDS-related

complex”) to full-blown AIDS and then death.

But, what is the evidence that CD4 counts are associated with stage of immune

suppression? And, how accurate would a prediction that a certain CD4 count indicates

that a person is at a particular stage of HIV or AIDS be?

In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) have expressed interest in establishing guidelines for the use of PrEP. Under the current regulations, a medical provider is allowed to prescribe ART to a HIV negative person. This is called ‘off-label use’ – use of an HIV/AIDS medication for purposes other than treatment of HIV— effectively constitutes PrEP. However, as long as PrEP is not officially sanctioned by the FDA, drug companies cannot market ARTs as a preventative measure to the public. If PrEP is eventually approved by the FDA, pharmaceutical companies stand to make a lot of money catering to a new market in the developed world instead of providing cheaper—and much needed—drugs in the developing world.

Drug Users With HIV at Much Higher Overdose Risk

FRIDAY, Dec. 16 (HealthDay News) -- HIV-infected drug users are 74 percent more likely to have an overdose than those without HIV, a new evidence review finds.

Behavioral and biological factors may be among the reasons for this increased risk, according to the Rhode Island Hospital researchers. Drug overdose is a frequent cause of non-AIDS death among people with HIV.

The link between HIV infection and drug use is well documented, but the association between HIV and overdose has received less attention and was the focus of this study, which involved a review of 24 previous studies.

What are HIV tests? What do they do?

They are protein tests – they look for reactions between proteins in the test kits, and proteins in your blood.

But where do the proteins come from? The answer will astound, and possibly liberate you, and anyone you know who has ever been given one of these fraudulent tests.

In the course of two hours, we hear from AIDS industry and medical experts, who in their own words reveal in no uncertain terms that HIV tests are a complete and utter fraud – a game of three-card-monty, that overlay a cult-like belief system, a myth – the myth that AIDS is a transmissible sex disease.

AIDS – acquired immune deficiency – is real enough, and easy to ‘acquire’ through many means – through drug, pharma, water, food poisoning; through prolonged intoxication with chemicals, or restriction of essential nutrients.

But while immune deficiency is quite real, HIV is entirely fake. Does this statement surprise you? Shock you? The World Health Organization has grown into a world policing, economic weapon of war, in light of their ability to ruin nations with make-believe “HIV” tests, (and the SARS, Bird and Swine flu tests that followed suit). Much of the ‘third world’ has been made into pharma slave states, because we have been given this profoundly effective myth: That sex is dangerous for some people, and so they must be tested.

But what are we testing them with, and what for?

You will hear Hans Gelderblom, electron microscopist, admit on camera that what became HIV tests, was from the beginning, “Eighty Percent Dirt.” You will hear Ph.D. researchers describe the invention (by fiat, and consensus agreement) of “HIV proteins,” out of normally-occuring cellular proteins. And you will hear the high priests of “HIV,” Robert Gallo, Luc Montagnier and their peers, describe HIV tests as entirely flawed Rube Goldberg devices – one leading to another, leading to another, all in an attempt to create an overwhelming conclusion that a dozen useless tests must be more meaningful than just one.

When they know the truth: A dozen times a fraud is an even more profound fraud – and this fraud is now being perpetrated against Africans, Indians, Chinese, Eastern and Western Europeans, South and North Americans, and citizens worldwide, with entirely disgraced ‘rapid tests,’ now used in vans and at folding tables in parking lots, to grab the poorly-educated and hurl them into the pharmaceutical maw.

And begin to reclaim your life, sanity, and your sexual identity – it is not the government’s right or responsibility to decide for you how you shall choose a partner, nor how you shall be drugged.

Take this information, and spread the well-described and understood reality of HIV testing: It is an absolute, irredeemable  fraud. And if you are ill, and have any kind of immune deficiency, your challenge is to slowly but concretely educate yourself about the illnesses that plague us in our modern world. Illnesses of toxic exposure, from denatured and chemically altered food, polluted water and air, and chronic exposure to gut-rending pharmaceuticals.

Research into developing a widely available, functional cure for HIV/AIDS is moving at breakneck speed, prompted by the case of a former Seattle man who became the first person ever curedof the virus, and carried out, in part, by Seattle-area researchers.

"I would be incredibly disappointed if we didn't have a functional cure for AIDS in the next decade," says Jeffrey Laurence, a Cornell University researcher and a consultant for The American Foundation for AIDS Research.

A dozen doctors from around the nation, including three from Seattle, met last week in Philadelphia to discuss their research.

Much of their work focuses on CCR5, essentially a doorway HIV uses to enter cells.

UN HIV/AIDS Summit Results In Useless Statement

The UN HIV/AIDS summit June 8th to June 10th culminated in a watered-down political statement identifying key gaps in global HIV/AIDS policy. But it didn’t come up with any solutions or guidance how to remedy the matter. Cluelessness is a worldwide epidemic too, apparently.

Member states noted that:

“many national HIV prevention strategies inadequately focus on populations that epidemiological evidence shows are at higher risk, specifically men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs (IDUs) and sex workers, and further note, however, that each country should define the specific populations that are key to its epidemic and response, based on the epidemiological and national context.”

Thanks, UN! You rather succinctly said something that we all know—tweakers and prostitutes get HIV. We get it!

Essentially, the body said, “You member states have problems. Fix them. How? Uh… you figure it out.”

If the UN had drawn attention to the budget cuts undermining prevention programs worldwide, we could have broadened the discussion far more effectively.

Also, the UN could have included guidance for coalition-building across national lines on this deadly issue. How are UN experts and American scientists assisting, for instance, in sub-Saharan Africa? What solutions can first-world nations give developing countries? HIV/AIDS will only be properly addressed when global solutions are found for this global problem. Read More:

This nonsense about "10% of Europeans immune to HIV" is just the latest attempt to explain away why there has never been a white western heterosexual "epidemc" of "HIV disease." The other way to explain it is that there never has been an "HIV disease." That is, there is nothing pathogenic about one of thousands of strings of retroviral code written in nucleic acid and covered with a little protein. It is the biggest fraud in medical histroy. Of course, there has always been immune suppression, from multi-factorial causation, relating to unhealthful behaviors, ingestion of toxins and the psychogenic effects of being hated and oppressed minorities, both gay and black and drug users.

According to biologists at the University of Liverpool the plagues of the Middle Ages have made 10 percent of Europeans HIV resistant.

Scientists managed to back trace the mutation to 700 years ago, a time when plagues, including the bubonic plague, were sweeping across Europe. The places hardest hit by the plagues are the ones that now have the highest levels of resistance to HIV.

Professor Christopher Duncan and Dr Susan Scott from the University of Liverpool’s School of Biological Sciences used a computer model to show how selected diseases provided the evolutionary pressure necessary to force the frequency of the mutation up from 1in 20,000 to the values today of 1 in 10.

These resistant individuals carry a mutation known as CCR5-delta 32 that inhibits the CCR5 cellular receptor used to gain access to the immune system by HIV and other diseases. The mutation effectively presents immunity to HIV and other diseases that use the CCR5 cellular receptor as a gateway into the immune system.

Detailed 3D Model of HIV Unveiled

Recently, Visual Science Company, led by Ivan Konstantinov, created the most detailed and accurate 3D model of the HIV virus to date.

The model includes 17 viral and cellular proteins and 160,000 lipid molecules of 8 different types, with all components in proportion with a real HIV particle.  The orange structure depicts the actual genome and the gray matter represents the parts of the virus acquired when contact is made with a human cell.

Images were created in approximately 3 months, based on data available in over 100 leading science journals and publications.

“This is one of many supramolecular structures already designed,” notes Ivan Konstantinov, the lead development engineer.  “In February 2010, we launched a project aimed at creating molecular models of the most well-known human viruses. In addition to the HIV model, we’ve designed the swine flu virus (A/H1N1) and the adenovirus model.  We specifically elected the HIV virus, as it’s a well studied object, allowing us to depict its different parts from envelope proteins to genome fragments.”

“My team considers such 3D models as a new way to present and promote scientific data about ubiquitous human viruses. We attempt to show viral particles as close to the real version as possible, offering the scientific community and general public - a better understanding of the complexity of these structures,” adds Konstantinov.

Ongoing work similar to Konstntinov’s, not only increases understanding and knowledge, but also provides additional fuel for researchers striving to find a cure for HIV-AIDS.
